It’s been a while since I posted. I’ve been doing a bunch of travelling, running, writing, and video-game-developing and I’ve been neglecting the site. I did get time to submit a new horror short story to The Other Stories, a fantastic weekly horror story podcast, and I am extremely please to say that they accepted it. It’s part of their Japan themed series and you can listen to it right now by clicking here. I listened to the podcast on Monday and it’s fantastic. I’ll definitely be listening to it again. A huge thank you to everyone at Hawk & Cleaver, and especially narrator Justin Fife and editor Karl Hughes. Sign up to my newsletter to stay updates on my writing, details of new releases and sales, and advance copies of my books. You’ll also get a book of short stories plus two bonus novellas, completely free. I’m pleased to announce that my creepy horror story, Immersion Therapy, is now available on the Dead Oaks Podcast and they’ve done a phenomenal job. This is the first audio version of one of my stories, and I’m really impressed with how much care and attention when into producing it. Edward Whalen’s narration was excellent and the music (Creepy,” written and performed by Nicholas Critney and “Haunted,” courtesy of Purple-Planet) was perfect for this particular story. A HUGE thank you to Christopher Waltz and the rest of the Dead Oaks team for first accepting the story and then doing such a fantastic job on the audio. Draw the curtains, turn off the lights and give it a listen. Click here to listen My new series, Serial Killer Z, launches at the beginning of October but you can get a head start on Marcus Black’s story. I’m giving away a free prequel novella that tells the story of how the zombie apocalypse started, and Marcus’ part in it. It’s called Serial Killer Z : Infection, and all you need to do to get it is sign up for my newsletter here. As well as the prequel, you’ll get four other free books, plus a copy of … Read More

Coming Soon on Audio…

Yesterday morning, I heard the news that Audible have opened up their ACX service to Canada and Ireland.  Basically, ACX is a service that allows anyone to produce and sell audiobooks through Audible (and elsewhere) – which means I can finally produce audio versions of my books. I think Glitch Mitchell and the Unseen Planet in particular would make a perfect audio book. I’ll be starting with The Girl in the City though because it’s shorter so there’s less risk. I’ve got no idea how long it will take me, even finding the right narrator is going to take a few weeks so it will be a while before I’m announcing anything formally, but I’m a big fan of audiobooks so it’s very exciting to finally be able to produce some of my own. Thanks to Robert Chazz Chute for posting about the Canadian ACX launch. Don’t forget I’ll be sending my short story collection to all of my newsletter subscribers once it’s complete so if you sign up now, you’ll get four free ebooks, plus the new collection later this year. CLICK HERE to get started. Free Michael J. Sullivan Audiobook

How about I make up for the lack of real posts by pointing you at a free audiobook? Michael J. Sullivan has arranged for the audio version of The Viscount and the Witch to be released on Audible. Here’s the background on the story: For those that aren’t familiar, this was a short story that I wrote back in 2011 when my books were coming off the market and the Orbit books were not yet live. It’s always been free and released originally to give existing fans a little something to hold them over while waiting for the last book. Since then, it’ proved to be a good little introduction piece for those who have been considering the series, but have yet to take the leap. I enjoyed Michael’s Hollow World so I’ll be listening to this. Check out Michael’s site for the full details. [Free Michael J.
