Teeth and Tooth

Philip HarrisChatter, Free Fiction, Stories

I’m currently recovering from some dental surgery. Nothing major, but I did come home with some pills and potions and a page full of instructions for what I should and should not do – including not blowing my nose for the next three months!

I’m pretty sure if I do, all my teeth will explode out of my face.

Or something.

The treatment also involved plugging a hole with some human bone. Apparently, my body will reject it and replace it with some new bone of my own. But I’ve seen enough horror films to know that bone probably belonged to a bloodthirsty killer that will no doubt take over my mind at some point in the next few weeks.

To commemorate my dental adventures (and before the inevitable descent into insanity begins), I’ve posted one of my old stories, Tooth, to the site.

Originally appearing in an anthology by a publisher that then scammed me out of the author copies that I paid for, it’s a grisly little tale that was originally published back in 2009, but I think it still holds up.

You can read it for free, right here.

Tooth also appears in the free short story collection you can get by signing up for my newsletter here. I usually only email once a month (at most) and won’t share your email address with anyone else.
